Designed by Jeff Levine, Last Date JNL is a display sans and art deco font family. This typeface has two styles and was published by Jeff Levine Fonts.

A typographic conundrum presented itself with the hand lettered title on the cover of the 1919 song “I Am Always Building Castles in the Air”.

The capitalized portion [“Castles in the Air”] was a hybrid mix of a few Art Nouveau-influenced rounded letters, yet along with this were squared letters with rounded corners (reflecting the upcoming Art Deco movement to take place in about another decade).

As a complete alphabet, it didn’t mix as well as in those few short words.

What to do? It was decided to go with the squared look and save the rounder characters for a future project.

The end result became Last Date JNL; available in both regular and oblique versions.

Designed by Oliver Jeschke, Sequel 100 Black is a sans serif font family. This typeface has sixteen styles and was published by OGJ Type Design. A characteristic feature of the Sequel 100 is the almost equal thickness of the vertical and horizontal strokes, the horizontally cut endings of the letters a, c, e, g, s, as well as a striking R. Unlike other sans-serif faces, the forms are absolutely clean and the x-height, in the normal thickness gradation a bit higher, in favor of legibility.
